Adult Ministries
Women On Wednesday:
This is a delightful Bible Study group for women with childcare available. We meet from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. from September through May.
Women of the Church of God:
The women of the church meet once a month from September through May for spiritual, emotional and refreshments on the fourth Tuesday evening of the month, known as "Super Tuesday". December and May are highlighted with a very special luncheon normally held on the second Saturday. Occasionally, the women get together at other times throughout the year for fun projects or a fundraising venture.
Men's Ministries:
The men meet on Monday evenings at 6:30 at the church or sometimes in a home for special occasions. The men may select a book that they have each read or a chapter in the Bible to discuss. The men also do helping projects for folks in the church or work on an assignment at the church facility.
A group of men meet before going to work on Thursday mornings (6:00 - 7:15) for Bible Study, breakfast and prayer at IHOP'S on Martin Way. The group reads a chapter from the Bible each week and explores its message for then and now.
God's Pillars:
Designed to address the needs of adults 60 and over, this fun group has monthly socials and occasional field trips that is led by volunteers who coordinates the activities and plans the programs.
Adult Sunday School:
Meeting from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. to noon each Sunday morning, a variety of classes are offered to appeal to the interests of adults. There is a Bible study class, a Newcomers class and additionally, classes are offered from time-to-time which explore current books of contemporary matters (i.e. parenting, marriage, finances), or theological issues. Nursery, children and youth classes are offered at the same time so that the whole family can be discovering the Bible.
Throughout the year, the church family gets together for special events, which are planned by the Church Life Ministry Team. One annual event is our all-church picnic in September welcoming everyone back to church and Sunday school. Another is the annual Thanksgiving dinner and celebration held at a local facility due to space limitations at our church. This committee also plans other family events throughout the year.
